LGM, a leading supplier of extended warranty, group credit insurance, wear protection and automotive theft deterrent products demonstrated one of its core values; Giving Back.

LGM and parent company Possibility Holdings Ltd. have incorporated Giving Back as a core value to guide them, define who they are and how they conduct business. What Giving Back means to them is the following: “We act socially responsible, engage in charitable campaigns and support employee community work for the good of our world.”

For 2010, LGM has chosen a variety of ways to demonstrate this value. Earlier this year LGM demonstrated support of the Daily Bread Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity scheduling time off for associates to volunteer. A company benefit of LGM allows 4 work days to be allocated for volunteering to a charity of choice. Most recently LGM completed campaigns in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.

By selling logo golf balls throughout the summer LGM donated all proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society. The contributions from their customers, LGM’s supporting dealer network, strategic alliance partners, friends and family lead to proceeds of over $6,000 being donated. LGM matched this contribution to provide a combined total of over $12,000!

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure took place October 3rd, 2010. LGM had a presence in three locations, Montreal PQ, Burlington ON, and London ON. With over 20 participants, LGM was able to generate 11,451 in donations for the event. What’s more impressive is LGM’s commitment to matching these donations dollar for dollar. A combined $22,902 was donated to breast cancer research!
