LGM and Hyundai Canada partner to enhance the consumer F&I buying journey with innovative self-serve platform

Vancouver, BC – LGM Financial Services Inc. (LGM), one of Canada’s leading Finance and Insurance (F&I) providers, today announced that they have integrated real-time pricing for F&I products with the new Hyundai Canada self-serve tool, Hyundai Build and Price, to enhance the consumer buying experience.

Within the Hyundai Build and Price platform, LGM has integrated their own application programming interface (API) to allow consumers to customize finance and insurance (F&I) products as part of their buying experience. Consumers can view, customize, and quote their overall and monthly payments for Hyundai Protection and Hyundai Extended Protection products through the Hyundai Build and Price platform, including: Appearance Protection, Pre-Paid Maintenance, and Excess Wear and Use. This integration increases transparency for the customer and allows them to better budget for F&I protection products earlier in the buying journey, creating more informed consumers and a better overall experience.

“This integration represents a major step towards improving what has traditionally been a pain-point in the consumer experience,” says Jeff Schulz, Executive Vice President of Marketing at LGM. “Previously, consumers were primarily exposed to F&I pricing at point of purchase, which we know through numerous studies, is too late in the cycle. Consumers want transparency, and they want to research their purchase in a no pressure environment. Hyundai Build and Price makes that possible. Before even setting foot in a dealership, consumers can now receive penny accurate pricing on F&I products to ensure they can budget for coverage options that match their financial needs.”

Not only is this new functionality beneficial for consumers, but it is also helpful to sales staff. “The result is a win-win,” says Adam Mintz, Senior Manager of Digital Business Development at Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. “Consumers walk into the dealership educated on the products they want to purchase and with a good sense of their budget, from there the sales staff can have a more informed conversation with the consumer, resulting in a better overall experience for everyone.”
