Vancouver, BC August 27, 2026 – LGM Financial Services announced that its LGM HUB platform passed SOC 2 Type II examination, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to information security, governance, and operational resilience. Building on the SOC 2 Type I report received in 2025, this achievement provides independent validation that LGM’s controls and processes are operating effectively over time.
As cyber threats continue to grow in both volume and sophistication, organizations face increasing pressure to demonstrate how sensitive information is protected. While SOC 2 examination is not required within the automotive F&I sector, LGM has chosen to pursue independent third-party validation of its controls as part of its commitment to transparency, trust, and responsible data stewardship.
This achievement reinforces LGM’s leadership in security, governance, and operational resilience within the automotive F&I industry. By voluntarily undertaking rigorous independent audits, LGM provides dealers, partners, and customers with added confidence that its security practices, operational controls, and governance frameworks meet recognized industry standards and continue to perform as intended.
“At LGM, security is not treated as a one-time project or a compliance exercise. It is part of how we design, build, and operate technology,” said Scott Rutherford, EVP of Technology. “Completing a SOC 2 Type II examination provides independent assurance that our security and governance controls are operating effectively over time. For our dealer and OEM partners, that confidence matters because they rely on LGM HUB to support sensitive business processes and customer information.”
“We are proud to see LGM become among the first companies within Marubeni Americas to achieve SOC 2 Type II certification. This accomplishment reflects LGM’s strong commitment to security, governance, and operational excellence. As part of the Marubeni Group, LGM continues to set a high standard for responsible business practices and demonstrates the importance of building resilient organizations prepared for the future,” said Yukinobu Nagami, General Manager of Mobility Business department, Marubeni Corporation.
What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 is an independent examination framework that evaluates how organizations manage controls related to security, availability, confidentiality, and risk management.
LGM passed SOC 2 Type I examination in 2025, validating that its security controls were appropriately designed and implemented. SOC 2 Type 2 confirms that those controls remained effective throughout an extended audit period, providing a higher level of assurance that security and governance practices are consistently maintained across the organization.
To support its compliance program, LGM implemented a modern governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform that automates risk management, policy enforcement, and continuous monitoring.
Benefits for Dealers
For dealer partners, SOC 2 Type II examination provides confidence that:
- Security and governance controls are operating effectively and are independently validated
- Risks related to access management, system availability, and incident response are continuously monitored
- Customer information is protected through consistent, audited security practices
This achievement reinforces LGM’s position as a trusted technology and finance partner as expectations around security, privacy, and reliability continue to evolve. It also supports the company’s broader governance and operational resilience objectives. The SOC 2 Type II report is available to qualified partners and prospective partners upon request, subject to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
